Nd:KGW
(Neodimium Doped
Potassium Gadolinium Tungstate,
Nd:KGd(WO4)2
)
Nd:KGW is a low-threshold, highly effective laser
material. At low pumping energies (0.5 to 1.0 J), KGW is one the few
materials ensuing an effective laser generation. The efficiency of a KGW
laser with low pump power may be 3 - 5 times better than that of a YAG laser. KGW
single crystals can also be used for the fabrication of high-efficiency
lasers with high output energy.
