Edge Filters

These filters use interference effects rather than absorption to isolate the spectral bands. There are two types of edge filters: Long Wave Pass (LWP) and Short Wave Pass (SWP), both are featured with high rate of transition between their region of reflection and transmission. LWP minimizes transmission below a given wavelength and maximize transmission above it, while SWP minimizes transmission above a given wavelength and maximize transmission below it.
